Solange Knowles @ Macy's I.N.C. Event

Hey Y'all!

Omg! I saw this picture of Solange & her mini-me Juelz, and I couldn't help but to fall in love with it! First, I noticed the contrast from the tan, red, & black 3/4 sleeve top (GORGEOUS) then I saw that it was paired with mustard yellow pants....I nearly fell out! The purple purse was a flawless finish to balance out the array of colors in her outfit! This is one of those "I wish I had this outfit...NOW!" type of ensembles! lol

Her son is always so close to his Mommy in every picture! I love it!!

Solange's makeup is AMAZING! Flawless, neutral, and just enough so you know it's there! I'll have to try out this look soon! :) Her TWA really suits the shape of her face!

I'd absolutely love to know who her MUA and stylist are!!

Until next time, STAY BEAUTIFUL!

OOTD: Fresh Cut Green & Tribal Shorts

Hey Y'all!!
Today, I just felt like cuttin' up! So I decided to take one of my plain green t-shirts and pair it with my tribal shorts. My only problem was...my green t-shirt was over sized and frumpy. So I decided to get creative!! I cut fringes in bottom at first, but I wasn't satisfied; so I cut off the neckline!! But that wasn't enough, I still felt like there was more that could be done!! LOL So I cut off the sleeves and tied the fabric together! FINALLY I was satisfied!!
I recommend for anyone, male or female, to cut up your shirts to spruce 'em up a little! It will add more to your outfit that just a frumpy old tee!! :)

Until next time, Stay beautiful!!!!

Think PINK!!

Hey Y'all!!
As you all may, or may not, know...I LOVE MAKEUP!! All brands, all colors, and all kinds of looks! :) So last night I decided to something a little different from my usual day to day look.
After making the decision to go to karaoke last night with a few friends I quickly styled my hair in the "Up, Up....and To The Left, To The Left" and paired it with a smoky eye, only to finish off with a bright lipstick!!

To achieve the smoky eye look, I used MAC's Electra (silver) eyeshadow and Ulta's Galaxy (charcoal)! :) I have ALWAYS been fond of the way my eyeshadow looks when I apply it to my inner canthus and gently sweep it on the lower lid; I feel like it gives me a angelic, bright-eyed look!! (TRY IT!)

To finish off the look, I applied Milani's Rose Hip lipstick! (Which is nothing short of pure AWESOME might I add!!) This lipstick stays on for a long period of time! I recommend every lady to go to your nearest CVS, Walgreens, or local drugstore and pick up all the colors that tickle your fancy!! I purchased 3 tubes for about $6.99 each!!
I can promise that you all will see me in a few other shades that I purchased on post in the near future!!

Until next time, Stay beautiful!!!

Crochet Hippie Inspired Headbands

Hey Ya'll!!
I'm coming to you (again) today to show you the AWESOME crochet headbands that I ordered several months back!! I came across a Etsy shop called Sprinkle Up by Tifycore and after a few short minutes of looking through the shop, I instantly knew what I wanted; hippie inspired headbands!! :) I knew that I couldn't only just buy one, because they were only $3, so I decided to purchase 3! :) I received them in the mail just a few days after ordering and I was completely floored, they looked so AMAZING!! I initially ordered purple, yellow, and a mixture of blue and purple but she included a free multi colored braided headband for free!! Here is a picture of me wearing my "freebie!" lol I will be posting pictures of me sporting the other colors as I wear them, so be on the lookout!

Check out Tifycore's Sprinkle Up shop with the link that I provided below. I am positive that you will find not one, but several items that you will adore & can't live without!!
Until next time, Stay beautiful & awesome!!

Up, Up....and To the Left, To The Left :) lol

Hey Ya'll!! :)

First & foremost, i'd like to let you all know that I tried time and time again to figure out a cool name for this post & theeeeen....I gave up! lol
Anyway, I did this style on my hair a few months back and it has been one of my favorite styles ever since!!! ^_^
I love it mostly because my hair is off my neck!! During the summer months, wearing my hair down can leave me with a massive sweaty neck (gross, I know), but it's the truth.

To achieve "Up, Up, & To The Left", here's what I used:
**Shea Moisture's Curl Enhancing Smoothie and 6 bobby pins**

YEP, THAT'S IT!!

I have always liked the way my hair look when it's to the left, so that's why I chose that particular side. There's no right or wrong with this hairstyle, so make sure to put it on the side that suits YOU.
  • I took about, 2 quarter sized amounts, worth of the curl enchancing smoothie and fingercombed throughout my WHOLE HEAD. (Make sure to apply whatever product you choose to the entire head. No one wants to be left with random dry spots throughout their hair...lol)
  • Then, I brushed down the right side of my hair and secured the hair fairly close to the crown of my head using 2 bobby pins.
  • After assuring myself that the right side was tight and secured to my liking, I began to brush up the back of my hair. After smoothing out the bumps, I did a fairly small french roll to give it the "stick out" appearance. I secured the hair again using 2 bobby pins.
  • Next, after the right side and back were completed, I brushed a small amount of hair over my left ear to lessen the amount of hair that would remain out in the front. I then secured the small amount of hair in the middle of my head using 2 bobby pins, just as I did the right side and back!!
and....Voila!! There you have it, the "Up, Up, & To The Left....To The Left" :)

After saying the name of this post numerous times, I couldn't help but to think of Beyonce's song Irreplaceable...So I decided to leave you all with the song in your head too!! LOL

Until next time.....Stay natural & beautiful!!

Water Marble

Hey Everyone!
I finally decided to do another water marble, but this time I was determined to do a full set! :) Let me tell you, it was a little difficult! As I found out this time around, it's takes a lot of patience to do a full set, but it's doable. I stated in my FIRST water marble post, it's all about trial & error. The most difficult obstacle I had to overcome was making sure I wasn't messing up my nails & the tape. But as you can see, it all worked out in the end :) If you have any water marble designs or even if it isn't water marble...I'd love to see! Send me some pics of your nails designs & I'll see to it that you are featured here on RottenKandee.blogspot.com :)

Remember, happy nails make happy hands! lol

Base: Sally Hansen's White Out
Water Marble: Essie's Turquoise & Caicos; Essie's Chubby Cheeks
